Die neuen Empfehlungen gelten vom Schuljahr 1997/98 an als Konkretisierung der Richtlinien und Lehrpläne für die Sekundarstufe 1 des Gymnasiums bei der Planung und Gestaltung des Unterrichts. Die bisher geltenden Empfehlungen gemäß Runderlaß vom 7.12.1988 (GABI. NW. 1989 S. 2/BASS 15-25 Nm. 41 , 42, 43) treten mit Ablauf des Schuljahres 1996/97 für die Sekundarstufe 1 außer Kraft.
